Job Summary

The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The safe operation of the motorcoach
  • All passengers and their safety including safely assisting passengers on and off the motorcoach
  • All baggage checked onto and transported under in the luggage bays
  • Accounting for all passengers

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Read, write, and speak English fluently
  • The ability to speak foreign languages is helpful
  • Legibly complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
  • High school mathematical skills
  • Possess and maintain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) – minimum of class B with air brakes and passenger endorsement
  • Possess and maintain a DOT physical
  • Safely, efficiently, and courteously drive all company vehicles, including motorcoaches, on all public and private properties, in urban, rural, and mountainous regions
  • Knowledge and implementation of defensive driving techniques
  • Knowledge and practical use of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations pertaining to the driving of a commercial vehicle
  • Ability to load/unload and properly stack baggage of up to 50 pounds
  • Maintain a driving record that is free of major traffic citations and major “at fault” collisions
  • Treat all passengers, company personnel, and others associated with your work assignment in a courteous and professional manner
  • Work with company personnel as members of a TEAM, this requires the driver to coordinate activities with others and to function as a unit

Objectives and Activities

  • 75% – Driving. Drive motorcoaches and other company vehicles, as dispatched on charter trips, tours, or any other transportation as required. This may include, as required, waiting with the motorcoach for your passengers to return from their scheduled activities.
  • 10% – Plan, coordinate, and interface with other drivers and company personnel in order to execute the dispatch as a cohesive unit. This will require advance trip planning and communication with others while performing driving duties.
  • 5% – Vehicle inspections and maintenance as directed. Fuel the vehicle when needed or as directed and routinely check all fluid levels and pressures.
  • 5% – Baggage loading and unloading as needed. Maintain the integrity and safety of all luggage. Report any shortage, loss, or damage immediately to supervisor.
  • 5% – Drivers education as directed. Attend all driver and safety meetings as well as maintain 100% completion of online training.

Description

Starline Luxury Coaches is accepting online applications for a Journeyman level technician for the Maintenance Department. Full time work with excellent benefits.

Job Summary

This position is for a Journeyman-level Technician with the ability to perform inspections, diagnosis and repair of a variety of equipment to include and not limited to buses, trucks, cars, generators, gas and diesel engines, and equipment.

A bus technician may:

  • Assist in roadside repairs
  • Perform general tune-ups, maintenance and repairs using appropriate diagnostic tools and instruments necessary to accurately determine the reason for part or component failure
  • Properly diagnose vehicles using a variety of software programs and industry technology
  • Repair and/or replace various body components on vehicles and preventative maintenance
  • Use safety equipment and personal protection devises
  • Maintain accurate records (electronic and manual) of inspections and replacements
  • Document labor, parts, and supplies for each job in appropriate program
  • Maintain a clean, safe and respectful work environment

The selected individual will work with colleagues in a collaborative manner as a positive team builder and will promote high standards, positive attitudes, and shop safety in all work related areas. Candidate performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Maintenance Foreman.

  • Work Year: Full Time – 8 hours per day, 260 days per year

Special Requirements/Licenses

Required to possess a set of auto mechanic hand tools, both metric and SAE, and a storage cabinet. This position is subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing. Must possess (or quickly obtain) and maintain the following:

  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License. Ability to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License that includes a Passenger Endorsement with an Air Brake restriction removed within 60 days. In house training.
  • Valid DOT medical examination card paid for by the company.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, lift 100 pounds with assistance, and push/hold 150 pounds with assistance, reach above shoulder height, climb ladders, use hand tools, and work in confined spaces and at heights.

Sales Representative

As a leader in the transportation industry, Starline Luxury Coaches is looking for a results-driven sales representative to actively seek out and engage customer prospects.

Job Summary

Increases sales and market share with key accounts to meet or exceed established revenue objectives. Directly accountable for specific market segments. Promotes company products to accounts through on-site sales calls, telephone and written communication.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works out of the headquarter office and can expect a 40-hour work week
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive customer relationships with new and existing accounts
  • Increase business from current accounts within your assigned market segments
  • Customer calls outside the office should amount to 40% of your work week
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes
  • Follows up with sales calls, emails and phone calls
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Inputs pertinent information in Kodak regarding charters
  • Attends meetings, conferences, tradeshows and events
  • Some overnight travel required
  • Attends sales staff meetings

Qualifications and Skills

  • Self-motivated and results driven
  • Must possess good customer service and communication skills with both internal and external customers
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Good follow through and analytical skills, problem solver
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • CRM and other technology experience a plus
  • Good organizational, management and communication skills, including public speaking
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Some lifting required
  • Must have a current driver’s license and a licensed and insured vehicle in order to perform duties
